Research interests
がんの増殖や悪性進展化において極めて重要であることが提唱されている,がん微小環境,について興味を持ち,がん間質の線維芽細胞や炎症細胞の重要性について研究を行ってきた.現在は特に,乳がんにおける骨転移過程とがん微小環境との関連性に注目して研究を行っている.骨転移の治療法は対症療法が中心となっているため,骨内の腫瘍細胞の増殖自体を抑制するという新たな治療法の開発というコンセプトの下に免疫細胞を含むがん微小環境と腫瘍細胞との相互作用に着目した解析を行っている.
