Research interests
痛みや痒みは生体防御に重要な役割を担った感覚であるが,QOLを著しく低下させる不快な感覚でもある.その為,痛みや痒みのメカニズム解明や治療法の確立は非常に重要である.しかし,これらの脊髄における情報の伝達やその調節機構は未だ不明な部分が多い.そこで,電気生理学的手法を用いてラット及びマウス脊髄後角・脳領域における痛みや痒みの情報伝達メカニズムに関する研究を行っている.現在は電気生理学的手法に加え,行動薬理学的手法・組織形態学的手法・生化学的手法も併せて行うことでより多角的な視点から痛みや痒みの情報伝達回路およびその制御機構の解明を目指し研究している.
