Research interests
全身の代謝は中枢神経系を中心とし,肝臓,脂肪などの各末梢組織と機能的な連携をとりながら調節されていることから,これらの臓器連携に影響をおよぼす新たな作用を見出し,特にインスリン抵抗性と関連が深い脂肪組織の肥大化と慢性炎症の進展抑制に着目した研究に取り組んでおります.
また我々が同定したSHIP2がインスリンシグナルを負に制御することから,共同研究を通じてインスリン抵抗性を改善する新規SHIP2阻害剤の開発に向けた創薬研究も行っています.
