Page 365, For the synthesis of (3aR,4R,6R,7R,8S,8aS,8bS)-7,8-Bisbenzyloxy-6-[(benzyloxy)-methyl]-4-methylhexahydro-4H-[1,3,2]dioxathiolo[4,5-a]-pyrrolizine 2,2-dioxide (26), the reagent SOCl2 should be replaced by SO2Cl2. This reagent (SO2Cl2) is correctly shown in the Scheme. The correct text is: (3aR,4R,6R,7R,8S,8aS,8bS)-7,8-Bisbenzyloxy-6-[(benzyloxy)-methyl]-4-methylhexahydro-4H-[1,3,2]dioxathiolo[4,5-a]-pyrrolizine 2,2-dioxide (26). To a solution of the diol 25 (25 mg, 0.0511 mmol) in anhydrous CH2Cl2 (5 mL) under a nitrogen atmosphere was added at 0 °C Et3 N (18 μL, 0.128 mmol), then SO2Cl2 (1.0 M solution in CH2Cl2, 0.0766 μL, 0.0766 mmol) dropwise.
