Research interests
神経細胞間のコミュニケーションの場となるシナプスを分化誘導する能力を持つ細胞接着タンパク質群はシナプスオーガナイザーと呼ばれ,その遺伝子に生じる様々な変異が自閉スペクトラム症や知的障害の原因になることが知られています.私たちは様々なシナプスオーガナイザーを単離し,その機能・構造解析を通して,シナプス誘導およびシナプス標的認識の分子機構を明らかにしました.また,モデルマウスを作出して,シナプスオーガナイザー遺伝子の変異が神経発達障害を引き起こすシナプス病態および回路病態メカニズムを明らかにしました.
