To break present limitations in tissue engineering, we have addressed to develop an innovative approach. Biofabrication is defined as fabrication technology to produce biological products using cells and biological materials. In tissue engineering, engineering complicated 3D structures with multi-cell types, and construction of perfusion routes in the bio-products are the emerging issues. We developed a custom-made 3D bioprinter using inkjet technology. Here, our challenges and achievements are presented and the next perspectives are discussed.
