Axonal regeneration via regulation of point contacts

Project Details

Abstract

I previously clarified that enhancing of point contact dynamics promoted axonal regeneration in cultured system that mimicked failure of axonal regeneration in the injured central nervous system. In this study, I showed that protein kinase A, p21-activated kinase and paxillin were involved in the above regeneration mechanisms. This study proposes novel targets for axonal regeneration in spinal cord injury, etc.
