Research interests
ヒートショックプロテイン(HSPs)はシャペロン機能を有し,様々なストレスに対して細胞保護因子として働いている.HSPsは,主にヒートショック転写因子1 (HSF1)により,転写誘導されている.そこで,口腔扁平上皮がんと網膜芽細胞腫株を用いて,HSF1関連タンパク質であるpolo-like kinase 1(PLK1)とBcl-2 associated athanogene 3(BAG3)に焦点をあてた.PLK1はHSF1のリン酸化に関与し,がん細胞の増殖や生存に重要な働きを示すといわれている.また,BAG3は分子シャペロンタンパク質として中心的な役割を果たすHSP70のコシャペロンであり,ストレス誘導性の抗アポトーシスタンパク質でもある.これらを分子標的とすることはHTの新たな治療戦略となる可能性について報告することができた.
