抄録

A pilot study on guiding method for tsunami evacuees with lighting system was carried out in a coastal area, the Fukura district of Minami Awaji City, where heavy damage is anticipated by Nankai Trough Earthquake. The study was conducted through community tsunami evacuation drills. The familiarity with geography and knowledge of disaster-prevention equipment make different noticeability results of guidance signs for tsunami evacuation. Meanwhile, many participants who noticed the signs felt a psychological sense of safety. It means that the noticeability of guidance signs is very important not only to find the correct evacuation routes but also to evacuate calmly.
