abstract = "This conference proceeding describes a rapid fabrication of hierarchical tissues with high cell density by cell fiber (Cell-F) assembling. We prepared cell-adhesive alginate fibers and cell-encapsulated fibers using with the same microfluidic device. Cells proliferated and connected within fibers, and cell fibers kept their fiber-shapes after removing alginate. Exposed cell fibers were reeled around cell-adhesive alginate (Alg-CoP) fiber with tweezers. These cell fibers easily adhered to Alg-CoP surfaces, and we succeeded in fabricating hierarchical thick tissues with 1×108 cells/cm3 within 1 day. This approach would benefit for rapid fabrication of 3D tissue constructs with similar cell density to human body.",
