Twenty-two patients with locoregional recurrent non-small cell lung cancer after surgical resection. RT doses that ranged from 50 to 67 Gy were delivered. Chemotherapy was performed concurrently in twelve patients. The overall 2-year and 3-year survival rates after treatment for recurrences were 46% and 31%. The median survival time was 15.6 months. No severe acute and late toxicity was observed. In conclusion, radiotherapy or chemoradiationtherapy for postsurgical locoregional recurrences is an effective and safe treatment modality.
