Abstract
An early rehabilitation is required to prevent bed-fasten patients. In addition the quantitative evaluation gives better rehabilitation. We have developed simple accelerometry for evaluation the rehabilitation training. In this paper, we evaluate the transfer from wheelchair to bed using accelerometry. Two tri-axial accelerometers were attached to the top of head and back of waist close to the gravitational point of the body. From the locus of signals we visualized the transfer motion. The visualization figures clearly showed the difference between transfer motion in the hemiplegic patients and normal subjects. The results were displayed as graphic animation. This visualization may easily understand the effectiveness in the rehabilitation technique.
