Abstract

We report the synthesis and luminescent properties of halide-bridged tricopper(I) complexes with a polyaza cryptand having three 2,6-bis(aminomethyl)pyridyl spacers. The asymmetric {Cu3X3} structure was formed in the ligand shell, and emitted in both of the solid and solution states. DFT calculation and 1HNMR spectroscopic studies were performed on these luminescent cage-type compounds.
