Abstract

The Bornean species of the subsocial wood-feeding cockroach genus Sal- ganea Stal is reviewed. We found nine species, of which S. nalepae Maekawa & Matsumoto is described as new and S. guentheri Roth is recorded for the first time. The previously unknown female of S. perssoni Roth and male of S. obtusespinosa Princis are described. A key to the species is presented.
