Abstract

Ultrafast dynamics of photo-induced structural change of [Cu(dmphen)2]+ was studied by femtosecond emission spectroscopy and 25-fs time-resolved pump-probe spectroscopy. It was found that the S1 state remains undistorted for 660 fs before structural change, being trapped in a shallow potential minimum at the perpendicular configuration on the S1 potential.
