Abstract

Reaction of a macrocyclic ligand of 36-membered octaaminotetraphenol with copper(II) triflate gave a tetranuclear complex with a large Cu-O(phenoxo)-Cu angle (130.8(1)°) and small Cu-O(phenoxo)-Cu (91.5(1)°) and Cu-O(hydroxo)-Cu angles (93.1(1)°). The magnetic behavior was interpreted based on the structural data.
