Abstract

We studied the synthesis, self-assembly, and photoreactivity of anthryl dendron having cyanobiphenyl groups as the terminals. Although, so far, we had never find meso-phase of anthryl dendron, of which dendritic wedge substituted at 2-position, a meso-phase of the newly synthesized dendron was observed.
