Abstract

The phosphine-bridged Pd(II)-Pt(II)-Pd(II) trinuclear and Rh(III)-Pd(II)-Pt(II)-Pd(II)-Rh(III) pentanuclear complexes with tris[2-(diphenylphosphino)ethyl]phosphine (pp₃) ligands were successfully prepared by stepwise phosphine-bridging reaction of the terminal phosphino groups of the pp₃ ligands on the Pd(II) cores.
