Abstract

Trichlorophenol was photodecomposed by irradiation with visible light using zinc(II) phthalocyanine derivatives as a photosensitizer in aerated organic solvents. An oxidative quenching pathway via a generation of hyperoxide was proposed. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A.
