Abstract

Novel hepta-coordinate rhenium(V) complex with two 3,6-ditert-butyl-catecholate and one terpyridine ligands was synthesized and structurally characterized. Temperature dependent 1H NMR spectra reveal dynamic behavior of the complex resulting from the site exchange of an equatrial position between two catecholate ligands.
