Abstract

Electrical resistivity and magnetic susceptibility have been measured on Ce(Ni_1-xPd_x)₂Ge₂ single crystals (x = 0.0, 0.12 and 1.0). Ce(Ni_0.88Pd_0.12)₂Ge₂ is paramagnetic at least down to 0.4 K. The set of crystal field parameters of CePd₂Ge₂ are determined based on the fitting of the magnetic susceptibility.
