Abstract

Low-temperature nuclear orientation was applied to study hyperfine interactions of 142Pr, 147Nd and 160Tb nuclei in antiferromagnetic Pr0.7Nd0.3NiAl4 and Pr0.3Nd0.3Tb0.1NiAl4 single crystals. The γ-ray anisotropy reveals the magnetic anisotropies of each rare earth ion, individually. External field effects on the 147Nd γ-ray anisotropy exhibit an unexpected result associated with the metamagnetic phase transition.
