Abstract
We present dc magnetization data for the heavy fermion superconductor PrOs4 Sb12 under pressures up to 1.45 GPa. With increasing pressure, the superconducting region becomes smaller, while the antiferroquadrupolar region moves significantly to lower fields. Our results strongly suggest that the crystal field energy splitting of a Γ1 singlet ground state and a Γ4(2) triplet first excited state decreases with an increase in pressure.
