Abstract

We have measured the hyperfine interaction in the intermetallic compounds LaNi, CeNi, PrNi and NdNi by using Nuclear Orientation. The results show that the hyperfine field is mostly due to the 4f electrons, even if they are not localized, as in the case of CeNi, while it approximates to the free-ion value in PrNi and NdNi.
