Abstract

Recently, EFTEM has become a technique to take elemental maps from nano-ordered regions of materials. No high-resolution maps that can be seen lattice fringes or structure images for aluminum alloys has been reported yet, especially in commercial aluminum alloys. We successed to get high-resolution maps from equilibrium Mg2Si phase in Al-Mg-Si alloys. We will report about that and application to metastable phase in this alloy and another aluminum alloys.
