Abstract

Two different relationships were proposed for estimating the equivalent strain in equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP). Calculations showed that these two relationships are identical at the upper and lower bounds for the arc angle ψ and they differ by <5% under all other experimental conditions for channel angles, φ, of 90° and larger.
