Abstract

The exist of long and slender polypoid lesion like colonic muco-submucosal elongated polyp (CMSEP) in gastrointestinal tract except colon is rare. We experienced a case of enteric muco-submucosal elongated polyp (EMSEP) in jejunum. After the judgment that EMSEP was bleeding source, we performed endoscopic polypectomy with double balloon enteroscopy (DBE). Histological findings of resected specimen were almost compatible for the feature of CMSEP. According to the development of enteroscopy, the chance of detection for EMSEP should be increased. The further investigation of CMSEP and EMSEP is necessary for their similarity and differences.
