Abstract

Structure of water in the vicinity of carboxybetain polymer was investigated in their aqueous solutions by using vibrational spectroscopies. The investigation of the bio-compatibility of zwitterionic polymer films indicated a definite correlation between the bio-compatibility of polymers and the effect of the polymers on the structure of water.
