Abstract

In a dyad consisting of an aryl ketone (AC) appended to a 1-phenylnaphthalene (NA) through a boronate ester, F- coordination at the boronate bridge completely suppresses triplet-triplet energy transfer from 3AC* to NA without any serious influence on rapid singlet-singlet energy transfer from 1NA* to AC.
