Abstract

We report a case of a 23-year-old primigravida woman who had a combined intrauterine twin pregnancy and extrauterine interstitial pregnancy after in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer. At 10 weeks of pregnancy, a diagnosis of heterotopic pregnancy was able to be made by ultrasonography. The patient underwent laparotomy for removal of the ectopic interstitial gestational sac. After the surgical treatment, the pregnancy progressed without a problem, and at 37 weeks and 2 days of pregnancy, healthy twin male babies were delivered by cesarean section.
