Abstract

A 33-year-old woman was referred to our hospital with a cystic mass of the pancreatic body. Contrast-enhanced CT images showed slightly enhanced solid mass with cystic component in the central zone. We diagnosed it as a solid tumor with cystic degeneration such as solid pseudopapillary tumor or endocrine tumor of the pancreas. Therefore, middle pancreatectomy was performed. The histopathological diagnosis was foreign body granuloma of the pancreas. However, the foreign body was not detected within the mass.
