Abstract

We examined the data of 76 infants under one-year-old who visited the Toyama University Hospital for hearing examination between April 2017 and March 2022. Unilateral or bilateral hearing loss was found in 35 cases that were referred to us after newborn hearing screening (NHS). In 39 infants who were referred as cases of unilateral hearing loss after NHS, 6 were finally diagnosed as having bilateral hearing loss by ASSR. Not only ABR, but also ASSR is an essential examination for infants with suspected hearing loss.
