Abstract
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to examine the current state of drawing AI in Japan's (digital) illustration culture, based on the current state of generative AI on a global level and the current state of drawing AI in Japan. The author's perspective here is the ”sustainability” of the ”ecosystem” (here we assume what is called a digital ecosystem, intellectual property ecosystem, content ecosystem, content creation ecosystem, etc.).
In other words, existing copyrighted works, works with unknown copyright holders, and UGC (User Generated Content) need to be “metabolized” and utilized appropriately. The author believes that in order to sustainably maintain the ecosystem, it is necessary to emphasize the rights of creators' existing works and the sustainability of creative activities. At the same time, copyright management methods to ensure appropriate copyright protection should also be considered.
